Hellooo....

Hey there, internet friends. I can't believe its been so long since I've blogged. When I went to my blog on the internet just now I thought, "awwww, I really miss blogging."

I have been so incredibly blessed in that my law practice has taken off out of nowhere. My phone rings constantly, and I have already made more money in five weeks of business than some new attorneys make in a year. With that said, I wasn't prepared for this much business so soon and I am SWAMPED! I'm not complaining...I want it to stay that way. But, boy am I meeting myself coming and going.

Tonight Casey, Chloe and I went to eat with my Aunt, Uncle and their children at a local pizza parlour. It was really fun, and I really enjoyed their company. After that Little-Girl and I played beauty shop, and I did her nails with some fun fake ones she bought at Claire's today. As you can see from the picture here, she also has a fun pink strand of fake hair clipped in today. She looks awesome, and even has new earrings to boot.

My goal for this week is to blog more. We'll see if that really happens!

Anniversary

Monday was my two year anniversary with my lovely hubby. We ate at the yummy P.F. Changs Restaurant to celebrate. Belecia likes to call it Chang F.P's.

Here is Casey, very excited about his gift of nice dark chocolate. Gosh, I love being married!

Attention Wal-Mart Shoppers

Note: Yea for me...this is my 100th post!

Tonight I went to Wal-Mart, and along with buying groceries, I bought Chloe's school supplies. For those of you with children, I would like to give you a few pointers as you also proceed with your back to school supply list shopping.

1. It is rude when I say excuse me to your child, when they are completely day dreaming in the middle of the aisle and blocking the entire passageway, to look at me with a "how dare you talk to my little baby like that" look.

2. It is annoying to allow your small elementary children to throw a fit in the middle of the crayola and folder aisle. Having an elementary child myself, I understand that you often cannot control them. In this way they are like small furry chihuahuas, but you can move them to another location to let their emotions out. Come to think of it, they are like small furry chihuahuas in this way too.

I need crayola products too, people. And, its not my fault Wal-Mart is out of the Brats brand folders.

3. The lunchable aisle. Lunchables (read--disgusting food children eat) are conveniently located next to food for families (read--bacon, lunchmeat, hot dogs, cheese, tofu, etc.) in my store. Allowing your child to stand in front of the luncahbles, and thus, blocking the "family food" (see list above) section is rude and uncalled for. Isn't it common Wal-Mart courtesy to move over so that a newcomer on the aisle can see what's stocked there as well? Children should not be exempt from this role. In fact, this could be one of those "special family learning moments" where parents teach there children common Wal-Mart courtesy.

This has been a public service announcement from the Pink Chihuahua Princess.

Online...checking...1..2..3...

So, I'm finally back online at home. Turns out the splitter that allows us to have both high speed internet and cable TV in our bedroom isn't strong enough to handle both functions coming through the cord. We finally got online today, and the cable people are coming tomorrow...Sunday...from 8-10. Now, people. 8 am? On a weekend? I don't know about you, but I'm usually sleeping at 8 am on Sunday mornings.

I thought that I would have all kinds of time to blog at work since I'm my own boss and everything, but I've been extremely busy. When I'm not working on a case, I use that time to study the Oklahoma statutes to hopefully save myself time later when I have more clients.

Everybody, please go visit my friend Carmen's blog. She is having a blog warming party. Goofy Girl did her new digs, and it looks great. Goofy Girl did my new look too, and I am still just beaming over it. It may not be for everyone's taste, but it is such a fit with me and my personality I can't imagine anything more perfect.

The Real Pink Chihuahua Princesses

Waiting...

It's not like I don't have anything else to do today. But, I think the postman thinks I have nothing else to do. Everyone else in my office is either working at home or on vacation today, so if I leave then no mail can be delivered into my suite.

Oddly enough, I actually need to go to the post office. I think its a conspiracy!

Fuschia Envelopes

People, I just had a first. I got my first pink envelopes on my beautiful car. Can you believe that parking tickets were inside something so bright and beautiful? I thought avoiding the heat and only walking 1 block into my office into 4-5 blocks was a good idea even though the sign clearly said you can't park there for more than 1 hour.

Oh well, at least they are only $10 each. I was thinking that it was $15.

13 Things About Me

1. I really need to get back in the habit of working out. I gained too much weight from stress eating while I was studying for the bar earlier this year, and I really need to fit back into my suits.

2. I really love being my own boss.

3. I opened my first "business" checking account this week

4. My dogs use "doggie stairs" so they can get up on my bed without my help.

5. Belicia will only use the stairs to climb up, and Tzeitel will only use them to climb down.

6. Since I've opened my own law office I haven't been reading for pleasure at all.

7. Last Friday I bought 3 pairs of pants and a shirt for 58 bucks.

8. I've been very, very tired for these past two weeks.

9. While leaving for the lake, I stepped on a piece of wood that went through my flip-flop and into my foot. I thought it was a nail it was so sturdy and hurt so badly. Thank goodness it wasn't.

10. Monday morning I got to work out of the home because I don't have internet yet in my office and needed to do research.

11. The learning curve for opening a law office is not a curve. It is a vertical climb straight up.

12. I really need to take some pics of my office and post them.

13. I wish I could have several more chihuahuas.
