Friday Night Madness

I wrote a post for my Friday Night Madness before, but somehow Blogger ate it during publication.

Friday night was perfect. We had a lot of fun here, and got to know each other a little better. This person is really great, and it seems like we could be great friends. I'm hoping that's what happens. I've got my eye on another hottie somewhere else. Plus, I just felt so tied down and hated my life for so long that I'm just looking for people to have fun with. I feel like I wasted a lot of my twenties being married and I'm bound and determined to make the rest of them a blast. As my girls on SATC say, I'm "single and fabulous!"

After the Mont on Friday I was involved in kind of a freak accident that I won't detail here. I severely injured my left eye. I damaged almost my entire cornea, but the good news is that it should heal completely. I'm just glad the Dr. didn't give me an eye patch. I have a date tomorrow night and I wasn't planning on going with the pirate vibe. But...it is close to Halloween...

Two Sizes!

Tonight I bought a new suit, two new shirts, and some earrings. The suit was another size smaller, and I tried on some jeans that were even a size smaller than that. Total, that makes it an official two dress sizes I've lost (three if you are thinking about those jeans). J.C.Penney's is having some serious sales.

Tomorrow night I have reservations with a new friend that I've been "talking" to. I'm going to bring my date clothes with me and change after work. I've been working 12 hour days and I still can't get everything I need to get finished completed. I'm slowly working through my list though. I feel so Sex and the City because I'm going out right after work. Oohhhh...maybe I'll have to order a Cosmopolitan. Oh, wait. I don't drink. Hmmm...I'll just have to get my SATC fix by going out with my girlfriends for Saturday brunch and tell them all about my night out on the town.

5 Words/Phrases to Describe the Princess

Tonight's post is a few words to explain the Princess' life right now. Bolded words are links.

1. Free! Free! I'm free at last, thank God almighty I'm free at last.

2. Appealing.

3. Busy.

4. Fun. I haven't had this much fun in my life for over a year. Who knew so many people were waiting in the wings?

5. Sooner. My Alma Mater had their homecoming this weekend. I went with my friend Sarah, and we had a blast. We also ate pizza here, while catching up on old times. You can listen to Boomer! Sooner! here.

My Dog Belicia

Belicia is a unique name, at least in these parts. Its meaning is "Dedicated to God." Tonight my Aunt (and also my closest friend) were eating dinner and waiting for our name to be called to sit down at our table and we hear... "Belicia, party of 2. Belicia, party of 2."

Who knew the dogs could drive (or see over the stearing wheel for that matter), reach the podium to tell the hostess our name, and sit in the waiting area of the restaurant without my aunt or me seeing them. Those little boogers, they sure are sneaky.

I've recently lost the USB cable to my camera. Really, I have no clue where it could be, so I'm not sure how long it'll be until I can post pictures of my chihuahua babies.

Thursday 13

In honor of being the newest lady who lunches on the block, I've tried to make up 13 fun things about "lunching."

1. It is a nice and welcome break from my busy schedule.

2. I've met so many new attorneys.

3. These new professional friends are really helping my business grow.

4. Its just plain fun.

5. Especially when other people simply "insist" on picking up the tab.

6. And, being the "lady that lunches" that I am I simply let them indulge by giving in and letting them pay.

7. When its my turn to simply insist, its a wonderful tax right off.

8. Its turning out to be good exercise because I make myself walk to where the lunch spot is.

9. It helps me practice my professional social skills, which makes me more outgoing which leads to #3 above.

10. Its helping me continue to lose weight because its so easy to order a salad for lunch.

11. Its a good excuse to wear something cute everyday because I know I'm going to see someone I know.

12. Its guaranteed time that I get to talk about my precious chihuahua children.

13. Its guaranteed time that I get to gush about how I am all of a sudden disgustingly happy with my life.

Things I Currently Love

Here is a list of things that I'm currently crazy about:

1. NYC. Manhattan to be exact.

2. Sushi.

3. My new friend.

4. Vera Wang, Princess Perfume. Of course, this is just because I love being the pink Princess that I am.

5. The new dog boutique in the mall near my home.

6. Fake nails. Long and fushia. Too bad I can't have them right now because I'm always in rehearsal and playing my instrument.

7. My black Mac eyeliner. As I'm sure will surprise not a single one of you, I love the black gel eyeliner and I draw cat eyes with them.

8. Oh, and how could I forget my baby girls. I guess I can just say that I saved the best for last.

Wisdom Tidbit for the Day

My wisdom tidbit is from Hodel's character in Fiddler on the Roof.

"I heard once that the Rabbi who must praise himself has a congregation of one."

I'm hungry! I got my new work computer yesterday. Y.A.Y. Have I mentioned on here that I am one of the musicians for a local ballet company's production of The Nutcracker this holiday season? It has been very fun. I've also made a lot of new friends in my instrument's section, and one actually just lives a few miles from me. Hmmm....maybe I should add him to my lunch list, huh. I've decided that lunching is the perfect date for a single gal. I should really write a book. Leave me a title suggestion in the comments if you wish.

Speaking of lunching...I'd better go. I can't miss, or my "ladies who lunch" persona will just go kaput. ;)

High School Football

These past few Friday nights I've been frequenting my cousin's football games. I have one cousin that plays in the band at her high school, and another that starts on his high school's football team. Thus, I 've had some time to make some observations.

First, some of the football mom's are just crazy. C.R.A.Z.Y. They are screaming so often and so loudly that they are usually voiceless after the game (this is the cousin that plays). Not only are they yelling and screaming, but this includes vulgarities. Really. Is that necessary in front of everyone over a high school football game? This isn't watching NFL at home, peopel.

Second, these same parents just love to bad mouth the other players on the opposing team. That's pretty ridiculous to me too. These kids are just that, kids. They are between 14-18 and are just out there playing their little hearts out.

The parents on my other cousin's little league football team are pretty ridiculous too. These people need some other activity to focus on!

Go Team!

Ladies who Lunch

I've been making a lot of new friends in my community lately, and have quickly become a "lady who lunches." I've been hitting all the local hot spots with all the local cool kids. Today I ate with a friend of mine that I haven't talked to in a few weeks. We ran into each other in the Judges' chambers last week, and met up today for a quick bite to eat. I love that about life. You just never know who you are going to meet, run into, or influence with your day.

The "ladies who lunch" gig really works well for me. I love meeting new people and spending time with them. I have so much more energy these past several weeks, and I'm still feeling very excited with every new day.

The dogs are really stylin'. Tzeitel is dressed in a pink and fuschia jeweled dog necklace and a white doggie T-shirt with a pink princess crown printed on it that is accented with diamonds. Cute!

A new SuperTarget has opened not too far from where I live. It is soooo fun! I have already been two or three times. Lets see...I've bought a NYC charm necklace, a new pair of jeans (in a smaller size I might add) and a cute little gray sweater. The prices are great, and the atmosphere is just so fun. Oh, and the dog clothes they have...gee, I think I'll need to go back tomorrow during my lunch break. I'll pick up something pink for ya'll. :)

Helloooo....

I can't believe its been so long since I've blogged, gang. Its good news though. I've actually been having the best few weeks ever. I've been learning a lot at work, and have been spending my free time schmoozing with big-wig attorney's around my home town.

My doggies are doing just fantastic! Their Granny bought them some hot pink doggie nail polish and I've been painting the town pink with it! I'm off today because the court house is closed (Columbus Day), and when the courthouse is closed there is really nothing I can do for people.

I feel like I have so much to say because I've just been so busy. At the same time, though, I am just such a jumble full of words because I'm so excited. For the first time in a very long time I feel happy when I wake up in the mornings, full of possibilities, and that my future is going exactly the way I would like it to go. I'm sure you all can agree that that is a wonderful place to be in life!

I am looking forward to visiting your blogs after my short hiatus.
