The mood of the night

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVeBRYh2BVY

Although I'm from another town in Oklahoma, the feeling of this song is my current mood. I'm proud to be from Oklahoma, and I love that I drive for miles on my way to work with nothing but fields and cattle for the view out of all my windows, the fact that out-of-staters can't understand me because of my accent, and the fact that date night consists of diet cokes on the tailgate of a Ford F-350 truck watching the sun go down.

Day of Bliss

I made an executive decision today. To take the day off. I've had a c.r.a.z.y. past two weeks at work. I feel tired and 50 years older from the stress of it all. I'm learning so much everyday at my job. Not just about the law (of course I'm learning that too), but I am also learning a lot about dealing with people. I'm making a lot of mistakes, but I'm also doing a lot of things right. I have a great mentoring community around me and the more experienced attorneys in town have welcomed me with open arms.

Now on to bigger and better things. Please notice the new banner at the top of my site. I'm counting down the days until Miranda Lambert's new record is released. I've been a fan since before she was on Nashville Star. She's cute and extremely talented.

No new news on the new potential daddy candidate. He's perfect so far, but I'm in the mood to take things slow lately. I still don't think I'm finished being free and having time to be true to myself. I just feel like I lived in a prison of an unfortunate marriage for so long and I'm not interested in giving up myself like that again. I just love where I am in my life right now. I've lost almost all my excess weight now, I'm back to writing my music like I used to when I was single, and I no longer have to pretend that I love people I'm ashamed to be seen with. Life is good my dollies.

Our newest candidate for Daddy

Many human men have come and gone in celebration of our Mommy's single status. She loves to parade "daddy candidates" in and out of our lives like they are of no significance at all to her. Frankly, that's fine with us. Most of them are okay for a human, but aren't good enough to be with our Mommy or our daddy. She says they're too lazy, or not Christians, or *gasp* "c.a.t. p.e.o.p.l.e." and of course those types have to go immediately. Imagine our Mommy wiff a cat person!

But, there's a new candidate on the block. A dog lover, Jesus following, his own company owning (did we mention he loves dogs?), working ranch owning "daddy candidate" that we really like. Mommy says he's okay, but she's just taking things slow. Tzeitel and I think he likes Mommy more than she likes him. Mommy says that's the way things should be for now. But, she does tell me at night before we go to sleep that he does look hot when they're out there feeding and tagging the cattle.

Mommy has made both Tzeitel and me memorize James 1:19 this past week. It states: "So then my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath." By swift to hear I'm pretty sure God means that Mommy should be swift to hear my barks demanding puppy treats and for her to produce them immediately!
